Celebration of love at Casa Kimberly, Puerto Vallarta

Richard Burton & Elizabeth Taylor romance

Casa Kimberly is probably one of Puerto Vallarta's most iconic places. It was the love nest of the Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor romance. It is during the 60s and the filming of The Night of the Iguana that the two stars started loving each other. Both were married and this affair provoked a scandal that drew journalists from all over the world to Puerto Vallarta. That is how the little fishing town became one of Mexico's top tourist destinations.

Casa Kimberly, nest of love

This mansion is now run as a luxurious hotel by Janice Chatterton, also owner of Hacienda San Angel. This beautiful house hosts nine guest suites in the exquisite Gringo Gulch, including the grand Elizabeth Taylor's royal suite.

Puerto Vallarta, Gringo Gulch

A few blocks away from the Malecon and the romantic zone, Gringo Gulch is perfectly located and offers calm and serenity to its guests in a lush and green ambiance, filled with magnificent pieces of art. Today I am documenting the love of two little birds who came to Mexico to live their own romance.
